The Islamic year , and the signs .

Few days ago the Islamic year started "the Hijri year" , and in the next few days the paper of 31st December 2009 will fall & the sun of the 1st day of 2010 will rise .

As we all Know, the year we all Know -The Gregorian year- and shown on our cell phones , computers , newspapers & Everything is When Jesus was Born , So he Born from 2010 years .

Day after day , Year After Year , the whole world used the date Jesus was Born , Not only Christians , Muslims Jews and Non Believer , Every one on this planet uses the " January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November and December " year .

Beside the fact that we all know what 2010 represents no one knows what 1431 -the hijri year- represents .

First of all here are the months of the Hijri year :

The Islamic months are named as follows:

  1. Muharram
  2. Safar
  3. Rabi' al-awwal
  4. Rabi' al-thani
  5. Jumada al-awwal
  6. Jumada al-thani
  7. Rajab
  8. Sha'aban
  9. Ramadan
  10. Shawwal
  11. Dhu al-Qi'dah
  12. Dhu al-Hijjah

Its easy !? , Isn't this how many years Ago Muhammad (pbuh) were born ??
the Answer is No. He Born In " Rabi' al-thani "

So this when he started his Holy Duty as a messenger , and when he received from God that he is the Chosen one to be the Prophet of Islam.
the Answer is No. That was in Ramadan

So When The Qura'an Started To Stream To the Prophet and Then Deliver it to the nation ?
No. That was in
Ramadan too.

"Migration" .. The prophet Migration , That's When the Muslims start Counting a new years , and a new chapter in their Lifes . So here is the full Story , Of The Prophet Migration .

This was the turning point in the life of the Holy Prophet, peace be on him, and in the history of Islam and the world. The Holy Prophet was deeply attached to Mecca where he had been born and spent more than half a century of his life. Here he had married, and had children, and here he had received the divine command to wipe out idolatry and call mankind to the worship of One God.
with the Holy Prophet himself, were migrating from their fondly loved city with its Sacred House, to them the holiest spot on earth, and fleeing to Yathrab -Madina- .
Muhammad instructed his followers to emigrate to Medina until virtually all his followers left Mecca. Being alarmed at the departure of Muslims, according to the tradition, the Meccans plotted to assassinate Muhammad. With the help of Ali , Muhammad fooled the Meccans who were watching him, and secretly slipped away from the town with Abu Bakr. By 622, Muhammad emigrated to Madina , a large agricultural Oasis. Those who migrated from Mecca along with Muhammad became known as muhajirun (emigrants) .

So Migration , Seeking a new place to start a new life , find the suitable place to accomplish your life project , is the day we Start our new year , the day -Muslims- Starts their new years is the day they should remember what their prophet and their role model Did to accomplish his mission , The Holy Prophet was deeply attached to Mecca where he had been born and spent more than half a century of his life. Here he had married, and had children, BUT he was attached harder to his Message in life . and that when we start a new year , with remembering our dream & remembering how our role model done with his own .

Finally I wanna Add that : The Gregorian year measured according the Movement of the sun , While the Hijri year measured according the Movement of the moon. Which makes the difference between the Hijri year & the georgian one about 11-12 days , thier is no 31 days month in the hijri year , its only 30 or 29 .

The word Hijri means " Migration" .

Why I'd created this blog ???

this look like an easy question, or actually a dump one , but I'll answer it anyway .
the self-evident answer is " For the same reason millions created their own blogs , to speak up , confess , open eyes , minds and hearts " - sorry if this ain't the reason you created your Blog - .
But this isn't my reason too , the reason I created this blog -while I had another one- is a lot more simple , the simple reason is I just like the sentence " all Nile long " , yea that's it .

May be this is the reason that I start to fulfill it with words after more than a year from creating it. From September 2008 to December 2009 if you wrote allnilelong.blogspot.com in the address bar and the Enter hitting come after , you will find the photo shown up ( Click to enlarge ), Just All Nile Long & Mohamed Malek is the two words added to the blog template by the creator , "he just wrote the name of the blog and his name !!! " , may be I tried to give myself the credit of making up this name and turning the partying sentence "all night long" to a meditating phrase " all Nile long " .

So what do I really mean by all Nile long ?
first of all the Nile is a river , and its not like any other river . as a Muslim I belief - like all Muslims - In Heaven and Hell , and we also belief that Heaven have many rivers two of them Already exist on earth , those two rivers are the Nile and the Furat . So the Nile - too me - is a blessed river .

The Nile Also is a reason , or the main reason that the greatest Civilization the earth known took place , The Nile had has the main role in founding the Egyptian Civilization , The Nile made the land surrounding it extremely fertile when it flooded or was inundated annually. The Egyptians were able to cultivate wheat and crops around the Nile, providing food for the general population. Also, The Nile was also a convenient and efficient way of transportation for people and goods . The structure of Egypt’s society made it one of the most stable in history. In fact, it might easily have surpassed many modern societies. This stability was an immediate result of the Nile’s fertility , And The Nile was a source of spiritual dimension and was so significant to the lifestyle of the Egyptians , from creating the first country the world to this day , and I think taking the main role of the greatest civilization is simply an evidence that The Nile is a great river. - Did I mentioned that I am Egyptian - , A fact " about 99% of Egyptians lives on only 3% of Egypt's area ... which is the riverside "

And Finally , the Nile is generally regarded as the longest river in the world . also the Blue Nile & the Whilte Nile which are the Nile Branches in Sudan .

So "all Nile long' refers too , The long of a Blessed Nile and a Great Nile which is the longest on earth , and Having this title to my Blog Don't mean that the coming post should be helpful , great , touching , caring or have a wake up calls . but may be means that every word in this Blog gonna flow straight from my heart , gonna carry the thoughts of my mind , and gonna make me plant my opinion about what happening in the world in a fertile Soil .

So let me Hopefully Introduce to you my Blog . Hope that my language is not making any barrier . . and of course you may know a further details about Nile from wiki ..... I did .

And finally I wanna Ask myself a question .. - Do you think anyone gonna read this ??
